Good diner fare. We hit breakfast and loved our array of orders. They don't skimp on anything and the coffee is great! Biscuits and gravy were very good. Service was great and fun!

I love hole-in-the-wall places. This "diner" is just a piece of crap. We stopped in for breakfast. It's a decent location on Seaway drive across the street from the ocean. It's tiny but we sat outside. The woman was the only one working and she was pretty horrible. No straws for our drinks. Finally put in our order and it took at least 20 minutes for basic food. Oh God, the worse part was the food. Eggs were both liquidy & spongey. Bacon was waaaay over cooked, solid. Hard. The "homefries" are actually generic undercooked potatoes. Then the pancakes. So disappointing. No butter. At. All. I could taste the flour. And worst of all? The questionable syrup was from Save-A-Lot. Like, are you kidding me?? You call yourself a diner, charge us money, and serve us that CRAP? At least have the decency to put your shitty syrup in a different bottle to fool everyone. The standards of this place are incredibly low. No one should ever have to put themselves through enjoying a "meal" here.

Food was okay, soup was ver good. Place is dirty, everything is sticky. Will not return, don't go unless your okay with unclean dinning rooms.

Rarely would I only rate 2 stars. However I love the location of this Diner. Please get rid of all the cheesy condiments taking up space on the tables. Food was not memorable from what I recall. Once and done! Too bad, I wanted to like it. :(

I'm on Hutchinson Island once a month visiting a family member, and we always go to Dave's for breakfast. We love it. The coffee is GOOD. This is the thing I care most about. The waitresses are friendly and the food is good and that combination makes me very happy. It's super busy on Sunday mornings, so we don't always get a table and sometimes have to eat at the counter, which is fine with me. It's like getting a free cooking show! We love watching how quick and orchestrated the staff are. It's a very tiny work space and we're always amazed at how smooth they make everything look. I always order the same thing, so my review won't be too broad. Two eggs sunnyside up, two slices of toast, and a pancake. It's PERFECT. I tried the hashbrowns once and they leave something to be desired so pass on those. Otherwise, if you want eggs or toast or pancakes, this is the place to go to. My breakfast companion always gets some meat things and he always seems happy with them. Yes, the service can seem slow at times but that's because they're so freaking busy! And they're busy every single time I go there, which I take as a sign of happy business and repeat customers. I almost didn't leave a review because frankly I don't want more people to know about this place because let's face it, seating is limited and I want to make sure I have a seat! But then I read some of the negative reviews from a bunch of snowbirds and decided to put in my two cents worth. Dave's has great food and hard working employees.

Also called Dave's Diner. Run by husband and wife team. Cute little restaurant with maybe eight booths and a dozen seats at the counter. If you're from up north, the menu will fit your expectation of a diner. Great prices. Food is okay. Decent service.

It's food. Personally, I like Lenzi's diner much much better. This place isn't very clean and understaffed. We had the corned beef hash, grits, biscuit, gravy and eggs. The eggs looked strange but it was all edible food. Like the other gentleman mentioned, I too had a long hair in my biscuit. The kitchen is visible from the dining room (note: this place is the size of a waffle house with crummy food and less cleanliness). No hair nets, pilled dirty dishes. They said they were understaffed today. I won't be returning during peak hours but if I get hungry at 2/3 am (open 24 hours) I will probably go because it is down the street from the house and they will probably be much more attentive. If it's peak times stay away, also if there is some other place available don't consider this an option.

We ate there for breakfast/brunch. It was a good value but one person at our table had a hair in her pancake. Another had a hair in her potatoes. It happens, and we just set aside these portions of our meal, but it takes away from the experience a bit. Aside from this the food was okay, server was a bit frazzled.

Walked in and walked out. Dishes with dried food behind the line. Said dishes looked like they had been there awhile (food was stuck to them and there were a lot of them). It smelled funny. There was a lone brownie, not on a plate, sitting on a table. The floor and coffee pot area were dirty.

Heard the breakfast was great so I went. Very small place. Not organized but open 24 hours. Nice staff. Breakfast was good. Not great or anything to rave about. I would return if I were in the area but wouldn't go out of my way.

Dave's is not much to look at. It sits in the corner of a strip mall. It is small inside but there is a little bit of seating outside too. The place is dirty, but for some reason, this is ok...maybe what you'd expect from a typical greasy diner. The staff is friendly and they do keep some really late/early hours so it's a good place to hit at weird times when you need food. I have only ever had breakfasts there and they are cheap, fast, and taste just fine. If you are big into cleanliness, hand washing, and hairnets, this ain't the place for you. If you just need some good greasy food to satisfy your hang over, for example, this is your place.
